(The church parking lot is off of Germantown Avenue. It's the narrow driveway next to the small stone building. The parking lot door is the entrance to the show.)

It’s 1972. Afro Americans are liberated. Women are liberated. America is more integrated than ever before. People are reaping rewards from the struggles of the 1960s.  Five women are going to be presented with a lifetime achievement award at a gala affair in New York City.  The Honorees, Joann Robinson, Daisy Bates, Pauli Murray, Ella Baker, and Fannie Lou Hamer express their joy about being honored and what they went through to reach their newly acclaimed status. Marsha, a middle-class student attending Ivy League University, is partnered with streetwise revolutionary Kenya, a student at HBC University to cater the after-party affair. They don't anticipate the mountain of history that will be served to them as they serve the honorees.
