Take a walk back in time as we travel on Germantown Avenue pin-pointing some of the cultural highlights along a one-mile stretch of this three hundred and thirty-seven years old thoroughfare. Learn about artists, activists, activities, and astute thinkers who lived, worked, and created along this great road. Experience reenactments detailing events from the historically significant Negro Achievement Week which occurred April 1928 and was described as the "Harlem Renaissance coming to Germantown." This sixty-minute walking tour includes a 10-minute rest stop at Uncle Bobbies, an independently, Black-owned coffee shop and bookstore, and concludes with a guided tour at Wyck, one of the oldest extant historic homes in Germantown.
